It's that time of year to start thinking about holiday greetings, invitations, thank yous, and all the rest. In this day of all things digital, actual paper cards are a welcome and somehow old-fashioned touch. However, now there are many ways to combine both the convenience of the digital revolution with the personalization of real paper and quality design with web sites that let you pick a card design, personalize it with your own images and words, and let someone else do the printing and mailing.
I was recently turned on to a particularly nice set of customizable stationery by Anvil Design, which has now become Anvil Modern Paperie, and which offers a range of "paper products inspired by my children, a love of modernist design, and my fascination with Japanese art and culture," says proprietor/designer Laura Bauer.
